Everyone here teaches several classes a week, so you’ll get to know them quickly. Tell them about any injuries, aches or a pregnancy before class and they’ll adjust things for you.

Founder, yoga

Hannah Reid

Opened Fernlea in 2017 in the old wool store on Mill Yard. Her classes are slow and steady, with time to settle into each pose and a long rest at the end.

Yoga teacher since 2012. 500 hours of training, most of it in yin and slow vinyasa.

Pilates lead

Laura Penn

Spent eight years on the front desk of a physio clinic before training to teach. Very good at telling you exactly which muscle you should be feeling.

Yoga

Tom Ashworth

Came to yoga for a sore back after twenty years of five-a-side. Runs the beginners' course and is probably the calmest person in Wenhallow.

Danced until her knees asked her to stop, then found the reformer. Keeps classes to eight so she can watch everyone's form.

Private sessions, at your pace.

An hour with any of the teachers, on the mat or the reformer. Useful after an injury, before you join a class, or if you’d simply rather practise on your own. Bring a friend and split the cost.
